I built L'Amigo because I wanted a cool way to track my friends on LeetCode. Since I'm just a developer like you and not a big scary corporation, I like to keep things simple and transparent.

The "No-BS" Summary

Here is the deal: I don't want your data. I have nowhere to put it, and frankly, I don't want the liability.

  • All your data lives locally on your device.
  • Your GitHub Personal Access Token? Stays on your device.
  • Your friend list? Stays on your device.
  • I have zero servers. Seriously.

What Access Do I Need?

To make the magic happen, the extension needs a few permissions:

  • Storage: To save your friend list and settings so you don't have to re-enter them every time.
  • LeetCode.com: To fetch those sweet, sweet stats.
  • GitHub API: To push your solutions (but only if you explicitly enable Sync and provide a token).

GitHub Token Safety

This is the big one. If you use the Sync feature, you'll paste in a GitHub Personal Access Token. This token is saved in `chrome.storage.local`. It is never sent to me or any third party. The extension sends it directly to GitHub's API to authenticate your uploads. That's it.

Third Parties

The only "third parties" involved are LeetCode (where we get data from) and GitHub (where we send data to). You're already subject to their policies when you use their sites.

Changes

If I ever decide to change how this works (highly unlikely, but still), I'll update this page.
